Running a show
Local Hub — play out on your venue network
Keep screens playing over your local network, even if the internet drops.
The Local Hub is optional. You keep running the show from miriGFX in your browser, and a small program on a computer at your venue passes each Take to your screens over the local network. If the internet drops, what's on air stays up. Most people only need the Cloud tab.
Set it up
- 1In your show, open Playout URL → Local Hub and click Download Hub. Everything it needs is already filled in.
- 2Unzip and start it. On a Mac, the first time: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Keep the Terminal window open for the whole show.
- 3On each TV, tablet or browser source, open the address shown in step 3 (it ends in :6474/tv). A 6-digit code appears.
- 4Type that code under Pair a device on the Local Hub tab and name the screen.
Connected and disconnected screens
Screens playing through the Hub appear under Locally connected screens. If a screen is switched off or the Hub is closed, it moves to Disconnected local devices with when it was last seen. Remove works in both lists. Local screens don't count toward your 2 screen slots.
Changes and updates
New rows, edited designs, transitions and Quick move positions reach local screens on the next Take — no re-download needed. When we release a Hub update, download it again and restart it.
