Running a show
Read a real scoreboard with a camera
Point a camera at the venue scoreboard and miriGFX reads the score and clock for you.
The Camera reader in the Scoreboard panel watches a video feed of the venue's physical scoreboard and copies what it shows — scores, clock, period, shot clock — into your miriGFX board, so your scorebug always matches the gym. Any camera your browser can see works: a USB camera, a phone used as a webcam, or an NDI® source through NDI Tools.
Set it up
- 1Open the Scoreboard panel and choose Camera reader, then turn on a camera pointed at the board.
- 2Drag a box over each thing to read and say what it is — home score, clock, period. Or start from a board style preset.
- 3Adjust the brightness cutoff until only the lit digits show white in the preview.
- 4Save the layout as a venue so next time at that gym is one click.
Angled boards
If the camera can't face the board square-on, click Straighten and tap the board's four corners in order (top-left, top-right, bottom-right, bottom-left). miriGFX flattens the picture before reading, and the corners are saved with the venue layout.
The trained reader
Score and clock boxes use a scoreboard-trained reader that double-checks unclear digits — helpful with seven-segment displays, dot-matrix boards and blinking colons. It's on by default; switch it off per box if a board reads better without it. Clocks can show tenths of a second: always, never, or only under one minute.
Unusual digits
If a board's digits look unusual, type what a box currently shows into Teach this box and the reader learns those shapes for that box.
